I'm Auctioneer Jim Beckner and I am pleased you took time to visit my web page. I feel an Auction is a very personal transaction and potential clients should know some personal information about who they are dealing with when choosing an Auctioneer, so I would like to take a moment of your time to tell you a little about myself.

I am a lifelong resident of Hamden, Ohio in Vinton County.  I graduated from Vinton County High School in 1968. I  owned and operated Beckner's TV in Wellston until I closed the business at the end of 2006 in order to devote more time to Auctioneering.  I have served as a member of the Hamden Volunteer Fire Department since 1968 and have served as Fire Chief since 1978. I also served 6 years as a Vinton County Commissioner from 1989 - 1994. I am Married to the former Kit Johnston of Wellston and we have two children, Jim who works at YSK in Chillicothe and Steph, who is a Director of a Kinder Care Center in Columbus. We have six Grandchildren that we enjoy spoiling and then sending home to Mom and Dad! Our hobby is riding our Goldwing motorcycle and traveling with our friends. Since 1999 we have visited 49 States and 9 Canadian Provinces and Mexico on our Goldwing!

I completed my Auctioneer training at Missouri Auction School which is one of the premier and oldest auction schools in the country. They have been training auctioneers since 1905 and some of the nations finest Auctioneers have trained there.

My goal as an Auctioneer is to provide my clients with a one stop Auction service that will get them the most money for the items they sell at Auction. I provide aggressive advertising using not only local media but e-mail, web page postings and custom designed brochures and flyers tailored specifically for each Auction as well as professional signage. Using digital media each Auction is photographed so pictures can be displayed on the internet as well as in the flyers and brochures. We can provide as much support as the client desires for their Auction. We can do your Auction on site or arrange for your property to be moved to another location for the Auction, the choice is YOURS! After the Auction we will settle with you as soon as practical, usually the day of the Auction, putting cash in your hands immediately!
